SUBSTANCE: requester sends a service command through multicast. When a service receives a service command, it carries out an operation which is given by the service command which can generate response data. The service can then send and the requester can receive a reply message through unicast. The reply message may include response data. The reply message may also include service detection information which is information which assists the requester in detecting the service. The requester processes the response data and detection information. If further interaction with the service is desired, the requester may use the detection information to establish a connection with the service.
EFFECT: assistance in more efficient detection of services in a computer system.
