FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, relates to use of survival indices of patients with chronic cardiac failure (CCF) of ischemic aetiology. Speeds of pulse wave propagation in aorta-femoral area are registered and measured. If speed exceeds 11.5 m/s, it is treated as deterioration of CCF course and is accepted as marker of unfavourable prognosis of disease, which shows in intensification of all cardiovascular events, including cardiovascular lethality, non-fatal infarctions and strokes, hospitalisation due to CCF decompensation.
EFFECT: method detects prognostically meaningful index to assess course of disease in patients with chronic cardiac failure of ischemic aetiology.
