FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used for prediction of remote unfavourable outcomes in patients with heart failure and implanted cardioverter-defibrillator. That is ensured by estimating the following parameters: patient’s social status, whether it is working or not; thickness of interventricular septum (IVS)) in cm; left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in %; pulmonary artery systolic pressure (p(PA) in mm Hg, according to echocardiography; a history of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); whether or not the patient is taking renin-angiotensin system inhibitors (RAAS) and calculating the probability of developing unfavourable cardiovascular events P by the developed mathematical formula. Calculated P value of more than 50 % indicates a high probability of developing an unfavourable cardiovascular event.
EFFECT: invention enables high-accuracy prediction of unfavourable outcomes in this category of patients in the separated period after implantation of the device, which, in turn, enables to optimize the plan of further follow-up of patients in the presence of a high risk of an unfavourable outcome.
