SUBSTANCE: it is proposed to use 3,11b-cis-dihydrotetrabenazine (in particular in (+)-isomer form of formula to stop or slow down development of one or more symptoms of Huntington's disorder in a patient, associated with involuntary movements, such as chorea, tremor and twitching, and also deterioration of walk, or for preventive treatment of patient-carrier of mutant form of gene responsible for development of Huntington's disorder, or for prevention of disease in such a patient at the age from 15 to 50 years (versions), and according methods of treatment and prevention (versions).

EFFECT: production of a compound to stop or slow down development of one or more symptoms of Huntington's disorder without dose-dependent sedative effect in course of treatment.
