SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the production of succinate salt of (+)-α-dihydrotetrabenazine. The method is carried out by mixing of a free base of (+)-α-dihydrotetrabenazine and succinic acid together with a solvent. Then, a possibility of formation of salt for formation of succinate salt of (+)-α-dihydrotetrabenazine and isolation of succinate salt is provided. The solvent consists of a polar aprotic solvent selected from acetone, ethyl acetate, and mixtures thereof.
EFFECT: obtainment of succinate salt of (+)-α-dihydrotetrabenazine, having high solubility and thermal stability.
