FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic separation and can be used in, for example food industry for analysis of loose or liquid materials for content of magnetically susceptible fractions of admixtures and for determination of concentration of said admixtures. Proposed method consists in performing magneto-mechanical operations intended for extracting magneto-susceptible admixtures by, for example motions through entire volume of sample on magnet, in separating and determining mass "m" of admixtures after each operation and calculating total mass of concentration. First, at least three magneto-mechanical operations are performed to extract magneto-susceptible admixtures and post-operation masses m1, m2, m3 of extracted admixtures are determined. Determined values are used to define functional discrete relation between post-operation mass of admixtures m and the number of operations n, and to extrapolate it to required number of operations n whereat practically complete extraction of residual admixtures is effected. Then defined law of mass variation is used to determine the other potential post-operation masses m4…mn for each number n coming after the number of operations made, and to determine total mass and concentration of admixtures.
EFFECT: reduced costs of analysis, higher accuracy and validity, expanded range of analysis.
