FIELD: equipment for removal of various ferrous admixtures tending to magnetic settling from fluid media.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic separator has filter-matrix consisting of rod-type settling members made in the form of high-porosity springy bodies. Axes of springy bodies are oriented relative to magnetizing system so that magnetic flux generated by magnetizing system is directed transverse to axes of springy bodies. Fluid medium under cleaning process is directed between springy body coils to be exposed to intensive magnetic field. Ferrous admixtures contained in this fluid medium are attracted to springy bodies to settle on their surfaces, and cleaned fluid medium is discharged from separator. During regeneration, there occurs pulsed deformation of the entire volume of working matrix resulted in discharge of sediment of caught admixtures from springy body surfaces.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of apparatus.
