SUBSTANCE: invention can be used particularly in solving problems relating to the possibility of using the ash wastes from thermal power plants and other media, which are characterised by high particle dispersion and the presence (often high content) of ferrous impurities as substitute components for construction materials and articles. A method for magnetic inspection of the ferroimpurities of a fine granular medium includes multiple operations for the wet magnetic separation of the particles of ferroimpurities from the suspension of the sample of the said medium. Separation operations are carried out by passing the suspension of the sample through a multi-operation magnetic analyser having pole areas for depositing ferroparticles and an inclined trough, with the effective speed which is limited by a set upper value. The separated operating masses are suspended and the formed suspensions, which are rich in the particles of ferroimpurities, are further exposed to magnetic action in order to further enrich the selected masses with ferroimpurities and obtain the concentrate of the said impurities. The total mass of the ferroimpurities contained in the sample, based on the limits of an error, is determined based on the obtained, functionally established and extrapolated empirical curve of the said operating masses of the concentrate of ferroimpurities versus the serial number of the operation.

EFFECT: high accuracy of inspecting the content of ferroimpurities of a granular medium, primarily a fine medium.
