FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic separation and may be used industry for analysis of magneto-sensitive (apt to magnetic deposition) fraction of fluid impurities. Three experimental impurity removal efficiency values are defined for three mutually multiple magnitudes of filter-matrix lengths with computation of fraction A of aforesaid fraction by three key formulae. Analysed medium is tested for compliance with model of exponential absorbing screen (for one-grade medium) or qualified as not obeying said model (containing sub fractions and feature weak and high aptitude to magnetic deposition). Approximation by iteration (re-experimenting at length increasing in increments) is used to refine results unless true λ value is found. Shares of impurities sub fractions are determined with extra xi-parameters by calculation and empiricism and using special derived formulae and relevant interrelated pairs of experimental efficiency values.
EFFECT: fast and accurate determination.
