FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to identification of objects using radio waves based on wireless data transmission technologies, which are present in personal use devices and can be used to calculate the number of people on a given territory, associate them the with certain groups, determine the speed and direction of movement of people of defined groups, controlling the behaviour of owners of personal use devices. The system includes at least one device with a unique identifier, a receiver, at least one computer and a transmitter connected to a receiver made in form of a device with radio access which works with the same protocol as a wireless data transmission interface. The device with the unique identifier is a personal use device having a data transmission interface and also has a centre for collecting data from computers which can transmit to the centre unique identifiers, time of their detection and fields which characterise the personal use device.

EFFECT: possibility of automatic counting of people on a given territory at any moment in time, flexible control of the form of the place on which the people are counted, calculation of the speed and direction of movement of the people, wider field of use.
