ELECTROCHEMICAL TRANSDUCER Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC H01M14/00

Abstract RU 2409879 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device includes vessel (1) filled with chlorine and chlorine hydride and having device (2) for mechanical or convection thermal mixing, which is connected through channels (4, 5) with capillary carrier (6) pressed to electrodes (7, 8) and saturated with aqueous electrolyte (9). Owing to gas mixing in vessel (1) and layering in channels (4, 5), stable gradient of chlorine and chlorine hydride concentrations appears in electrolyte between anode (7) and cathode (8), and as a result, output voltage appears.

EFFECT: high conversion efficiency of mechanical, heat or light energy to electricity, and cheap device.
