FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises cutting branch-forming holes, uniform local heating of area around the hole by has-air torch and localising substrate with hole arranged inside the billet, and with the help of heat-isolated reflecting shield located outside the biller above the hole. Male mould is pushed through the hole for branches to be flanged. Proposed system comprises billet local heating assembly and flanging assembly jointed together by rail guides. Local heating assembly consists of transfer truck supporting billet with hole, gas-air torch, localising substrate and heat-isolated reflecting shield. Flanging assembly comprises male mould support, male mould interacting with die pulling rope that can vertically reciprocate, and billet fixation support.
EFFECT: no female mould is used, reduced power consumption, uniform, accurate and local heating.
