FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used in producing aircraft structures from titanium alloys. Welding is performed in one pass with metal cooling rate in thermal effects zone in temperature range from Tα+β→β to Trs determined by formula VCOOL=K·(50…130)°C/s, where Tα+β→β is the temperature of polymorphous conversion; Trs is the temperature of recrystallisation start; K is the factor to allow for metal physical and mechanical properties, K=0.8… 1.5. Annealing temperature TANN is determined by formula TANN=VCOOL·K1+370, where K1 is the factor depending upon doping level and metal strength, K1=0.1…1.5.
EFFECT: longer service life.
