FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: container in the form of a reservoir and a removable lid for closing and opening space for storage of product has a base in the form of a bottom and an outer wall having at its top a peripheral edge limiting the opening of this container, which is closed when the lid is installed on it. The lid is a snap-in lid with a closing part and a cuff, which covers the edge of the reservoir hole. The cuff overhangs down, and the edge of the reservoir hole has a locking ring and a round flange located under that locking ring, at that the cuff of the lid springs radially outward and inward, and is made with a circular locking element, which faces the flange, located on the container, and which in the position of fixing the lid overhangs under this flange and contacts with the bottom surface of the flange. The said locking element is made with one or more passages to release air from the container into the environment during the installation of the lid. There is also a method provided for installation the removable lid on the container.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at creation of improved construction of a container with a lid and a cuff, in which the possibility of undesirable leakage of fluid from the reservoir and its damage are excluded, in case of excessive pressure that will counteract the force applied to hold the lid in place.
