CONTAINER LID WITH TEAR STRIP Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: plastic containers, particularly container lids having tear strips for easy container opening. SUBSTANCE: container 12 has double locking flanges located around upper peripheral container edge for lid engagement. Lid 10 comprises central part 14 and peripheral annular skirt 16. Skirt has annular groove dividing skirt into upper part 32 and lover tear strip 34. Upper part has spaced locking flange segments 36 for engaging with one of locking container flanges. Tear strip includes the second locking flange 38 joined with another locking container flange. Orifices 40 are formed in upper skirt part 32. Orifices are located on each side of locking flange segments 36 and abut annular groove so that with tear strip 34 removing orifice forms weakened depressions. This facilitates upward folding of annular skirt 16 into area of spaced flange segments 36 for easy lid removal. EFFECT: reduced lid production cost. 9 cl, 6 dwg
