SUBSTANCE: invention refers to oil industry and can be used during development of heavy oil or bitumen deposit. Development method of heavy oil or bitumen deposit by using two-head horizontal wells involves construction of two-head upper injection and lower production wells with horizontal sections located one above the other. Heat carrier is pumped through injection well with warming-up of the formation by creating the steam chamber and product is extracted through production well. At that, during construction of wells the horizontal section of production well is equipped with filter made in the form of pipe installed inside opened section of casing pipe with a gap which is divided into sections with tight ring inserts. Gaps in sections are filled with water-swellable granules.

EFFECT: increasing operating efficiency of filter owing to controlling the extraction of the well product.
