FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the field of ecology, geoecology, nature management, spectrometry, scientific-educational sphere, resource science (to assess quality of vegetable materials), in particular, to detect contamination of urbanised territories with iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn). Method includes registration of spectrum of electromagnetic radiation reflection in leaves of dandelion (Taraxacum officinale L.) in visible range, measurement of coefficient of spectral brightness, detection of spectral parameters and correlation analysis with standard. Extent of environmental pollution is detected by value of deviation of spectral parameters from standard.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce time required to assess ecological condition of environment.
