FIELD: physics, nuclear.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power, particularly to use of research nuclear reactors with a neutron trap. The central experimental device in the deceleration cavity of a research reactor has independently overloaded modules with neutron moderators and exposed materials, working members of the control system and reactor protection placed in gaps between modules. Each module is fitted with a head in the top part for its overloading and a tail in the bottom part.
EFFECT: high efficiency of producing required radioactive nuclides and broader functionalities in investigating properties of reactor materials.
