FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical equipment, and namely to measurement instruments for determination and recording of the measurement result of concentration of analysed substance, and to their application methods. Instrument includes display; user interface having many pre-determined levels of user functions chosen by the user, and input mechanism for selection of certain level. As per one version, multiple pre-determined levels include the first pre-determined level and the second pre-determined level; at that, the first level indicates concentration of analysed substance, and the second one indicates concentration of analysed substance and not less than one user function of the second level, which is excluded from the first level. As per the other version, there are three pre-determined levels: initial level, intermediate level and advanced level. Initial level includes the first user function for recording the set of information of the first size, intermediate level includes the second function of the second size, which is more than the first size, and advanced level includes the third user function of the third size, which is more than the second size. When using the instrument in each of the versions of its design the user, on the basis of its preferences, needs and capabilities, chooses one of multiple pre-determined levels which are indicated on the display through interface. After that, user functions corresponding to pre-determined level are indicated on the display.

EFFECT: use of the device and its application method in each version allows simplifying the settings of measurement device.
