METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MEDICAL DEVICE DATA PROCESSING AND TRANSMISSION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/145

Abstract RU 2641369 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a glucose sensor including a working electrode having a fragment in fluid contact with the body fluid below the skin surface; a memory unit having the first plurality of memory cells to store the first predetermined data type and the second plurality of memory cells to storing the second or first predetermined data type; a processing unit operatively connected to the glucose sensor and the memory unit. The processing unit is configured to detect error conditions related to the glucose sensor operation, generate data by processing the analyte-related signals generated by the glucose sensor, and to control data storage in the memory unit and their retrieval from the memory unit. The first predetermined data type includes error data associated with the glucose sensor operation, comprising a plurality of error data bits with the first fragment of error data bits and the second fragment of error data bits. The second predetermined data type includes data on the observed physiological state. When the error state associated with the glucose sensor operation is detected by the processing unit, the processing unit is configured to store the first fragment of error data bits in a subset of the first plurality of memory cells, and the remaining error data forming the second fragment of error data bits - in a subset of the second plurality of memory cells of the memory unit. The processing unit is configured to store the second fragment of error data bits in the cells of the least significant bits of the observed physiological state data in the second plurality of memory cells. The processing unit is configured to store the error status indicator in a subset of the first plurality of memory cells of the memory unit.

EFFECT: monitoring of the analyte, increased functionality of the glucometer.
