FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. It involves craniotomy and dissection of pachymeninx to enable visualising normal cerebral structures surrounding the arteriovenous malformation. When exposing the pachymeninx in regions where efferent vessels are tightly sealed thereto, the pachymeninx is dissected at 2-3 mm away from a vascular wall so that adjacent fragments of the pachymeninx remained together with efferent vessel. In this region, these vessels are clipped, coagulated, dissected and removed en bloc with the adjacent fragment of the pachymeninx. Further, the arteriovenous malformation is separated. At first arterial, and then venous vessels are clipped, coagulated and dissected. The malformation is removed.
EFFECT: method allows reducing a number of intraoperative injures and providing higher clinical effectiveness.
