FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for adsorption processes in has (vapor)-adsorbent system. Proposed method consists in that gas flow intended for purification is fed to apparatus bottom part via distribution screen. Then, purified gas flow is withdrawn via union from adsorber via inner and outer perforated cylinders. Adsorbent is fed through loading opening made in the cover, while used adsorbent is removed from discharge opening. Said adsorber features toroidal shape, a circle in section, which has stopped mortises on both sides of diametre. Recesses feature shape elongated along torus axis. Recess on one side is located between two adjacent recesses made on opposite side. Desorption is performed by feeding steam via union to bubbler with perforated toroidal surface. Process occurs at the following relationship between apparatus components: perforation factor of bubbler toroidal surface: K=0.5÷0.9; housing cylindrical part height H-to-housing diametre D: H/D=2.0÷2,5; housing cylindrical part height H-to-housing wall thickness S: H/S=580÷875.
EFFECT: improved purification thanks to larger area of contact between adsorbent and target component.
