FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to moisture protection of epoxy foamed compounds with a broken surface film used for sealing articles for radio- and electrical purposes, which work in harsh climatic conditions. Parts of the epoxy foamed compound are cleaned. The cleaning products are removed, a protective composition is deposited and hardened. The protective composition used contains the following, pts. wt: epoxy organosilicon resin SEDM-2 90-110; low-molecular weight polyamide resin L-20 45-55, and hardening is carried out at temperature 25±10°C for 20-24 hours.
EFFECT: invention lowers water absorption of the foamed compound and reduces the effect of climatic conditions on its radio characteristics.
