FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst or its precursor produced by this method and to its use for producing hydrocarbon from synthesis gas. Proposed method comprises the following stages: a) mixing of (i) catalytically active metal or metal compound, (ii) carrier material, and (iv), not obligatorily, one or several promoters, and/or one or several co-catalysts; b) forming the mix obtained at stage (a), and (c) drying product of stage (b) for over 15 h at 30°C and, if required, interaction of catalyst, or its precursor, with hydrogen or hydrogen-containing gas. Invention covers also catalyst produced by above described method and its use in producing hydrocarbons from synthesis gas.

EFFECT: higher activity and strength of catalyst.
