FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric arc welding device and may be used for high-frequency AC welding by consumable electrode in industrial and home conditions. Proposed device comprises rectifier 1, capacity power accumulator 2 and inverter 3, all being connected in series. Inverter 3 comprises two modules 4 and 5 connected in parallel, each being connected in "oblique semi-bridge" circuit. Resonance RC-network is connected in parallel to secondary 8 of transformer 6. Outputs of inverter first and second modules are connected to transformer first and second primaries, respectively, that are connected in opposition to each other, while transformer secondary output terminal doubles as the device output.
EFFECT: higher reliability and current ratio, reliable excitation of welding arc and reduced overall dimensions and weight.
