FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road construction, specifically to the technology of preparing asphalt concrete mixtures for constructing bases and surfaces of roads. The invention lowers the cost of work owing to use of the mineral part and bitumen binder contained in granular asphalt in the new composition. The method of preparing cold asphalt concrete involves preparation of a cold asphalt concrete mixture for making bases and surfaces of roads, consisting of 0-15 mm screenings form pounding 89.0%, limestone mineral powder 11.0% and liquid (liquefied) bitumen 6.0% (over 100%). Granular cold asphalt from milling with particle size of 0-15 mm is added to the mineral part of the asphalt concrete mixture in amount of 6.5-7.5% of the weight of the mixture.
EFFECT: high strength, water resistance and heat resistance of asphalt concrete for bases and surfaces of roads, while meeting the rest of the GOST 9128-97 requirements for type Dx asphalt concrete.
