FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: strain of bacteriophage Salmonella typhimurium S-394 was deposited in collection of microorganisms of Federal State Institution of Science "State Research Centre of Virology ad Biotechnology "Vector" Rospotrebnadzor (FSIS SRC VB "Vector" Rospotrebnadzor) by number Ph-1240. Strain possesses polyvalent lytic activity with respect to bacteria of genus Escherichia coli, strains Salmonella TA 1537 and Salmonella TA 100, and strains Shigella sonneri 32 and Shigella flexneri Ad. High yield of bacteriophage S-394 can be obtained on opportunistic strain of Escherichia coli AB-259, which is safe in case of wide-scale cultivations for production of medications for veterinary against Escherichia coli, Salmonella and Shigell, as well as for elimination and prevention of hospital infections.

EFFECT: invention provides wider spectrum of lytic activity with respect to Gram-negative pathogenic microorganisms Escherichia coli, Salmonella and Shigella, produced by action of bacteriolytic enzyme, which it contains.
