SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically to therapeutic proteins, and can be used in medicine as an antibacterial agent. Disclosed is use of recombinant endolysin bacteriophage, including in combination with pharmaceutically acceptable carriers and/or substances increasing membrane permeability, as an antimicrobial agent directed against bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi and Staphylococcus haemolyticus. Antibacterial compositions are obtained based on said protein, including fused with 8-histidine tag.

EFFECT: invention provides effective penetration of endolysin without adding various permeabilisers or covalently bound penetrating peptides through the outer membrane of said bacteria and cleavage of peptidoglycan, which ultimately leads to death of bacteria.
