FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention represents an antibacterial composition of medical and preventive purpose, which involves a combination of sterile, purified from toxins filtrate phage lysates with titre of each bacteriophage of not less than 1010 PFU/ml Gratia with non-overlapping spectrum of lytic activity with respect to Salmonella and Escherichiosis pathogens, capable of causing mass diseases of birds, farm animals and humans. Created composition has no risk of toxic or side effects for humans and animals, provides stability of bacteriophage titre and effectiveness of application. Antibacterial activity of the composition is manifested in relation to 83.72 % of salmonella isolates isolated from birds and in relation to 90.63 % of salmonella isolates isolated from pigs, which is a lytic spectrum. In the case of paired meat treatment with bacteriophages, meat salmonella contamination rate decreased by 99.95 %, and by 99.98 % by the Escherichia. Dissemination of samples of fodder with Escherichia after treatment with antibacterial composition is 88.4 times lower than when using fodder without it.

EFFECT: percentage survival rate of animals of test groups at pig-breeding enterprises was 90.38 %, provided that the non-use for treatment of any additional antibacterial agents and preparations.
