FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: cast is made out of iron containing, wt %: chromium 20-25; carbon 1.5-6; manganese from 4 to 7; silicon to 1.5; molybdenum to 2; nickel to 4; micro-alloying elements chosen from group consisting of titanium, zirconium, niobium, boron, vanadium and tungsten to 2 % of one or more elements, iron - the rest. Micro-structure of cast contains eutectic carbides and primary carbides, dispersed in iron containing matrix, which contains martensite and in essence is free from pearlite, in particular it contains not more, than 2 vol. % of pearlite. Cast is fabricated by cast iron melting, by its pouring into a mould, cooling in air to room temperature and heat treating.
EFFECT: cast possesses high hardness.
