FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly oncology. To determine the length of adjuvant therapy in skin melanoma, an invasion level and a thickness of melanoma stages pT2N0M0 - pT4N0M0 are calculated. The presence of ulceration on a tumour surface is detected. The invasion level and tumour thickness are summed up. If observing ulceration on a tumour surface, one is added to the derived sum. The courses of adjuvant therapy in patients are carried out in number equal to the derived sum.
EFFECT: method allows to calculate individually a required number of therapeutic courses of postoperative special radiation, chemo- and/or immunotherapy that enhances clinical effectiveness and improves patient's quality of life.
