FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics. A depth of an uncovered sector of a no-cement retained cotyloid component is perioperatively measured with a scaled ruler or a caliper, and a contact area of a bone-implant interface is described in percentage by a table which presents an external diametres of a cotyloid component of an endoprosthesis in millimeters in its upper horizontal line crossed with a depth of the uncovered sector of the cotyloid component of the endoprosthesis in millimeters in the last left vertical column.
EFFECT: method allows to calculate a coverage area of the no-cement retained cotyloid component precisely enough and to assess a necessity of bone grafting perioperatively both in primary, and revision replacement surgery.
