FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials and articles made therefrom, having an electroconductive protective-decorative coating on a dielectric base, which can be used in different industries. The invention discloses a composite material with a dielectric base and a protective-decorative coating. The electroconductive protective-decorative coating is obtained from a composition containing 100-120 pts. wt mixture of epoxy resins E-40 and E-05 in weight ratio of 90-86:10-14 or Epikot 223 and Epikot 401 in weight ratio of 87-83:13-17, 21-26 pts. wt of a polyamide hardener, 28-37 pts. wt of finely dispersed aluminium powder and 64-78 pts. wt mixture of organic solvents - toluene, butanol and butylacetate or a mixture of xylene, isopropyl alcohol and ethyl acetate in weight ratio of 22:40:38.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a protective-decorative coating with high resistance to the environment and flexural and twisting strength of the material and resistance to mechanical forces; the coating has good aesthetic characteristics of the surface and enables quality painting and repainting with powder paints via electrostatic deposition.
