FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: device and method of temperature measurement, which make possible to predict body temperature quickly on the basis of temperature signals, obtained from measuring probe during its contact with human body. Operation of selection of non-linear multiparametre characteristic is performed, and depending on errors during characteristic selection either parametres are changed or prediction of temperature is carried out. There exist conditions of correspondence of selected characteristic to temperature data in case if there is difference between them. Processor switches into mode of continuous control, if selection of characteristic within the range of limited number of time intervals is impossible. Determination of time of beginning, on which range of time of measurements for prediction obtaining depends, is carried out by means of threshold value in contact with tissue, connected with prediction time delay.

EFFECT: increase of temperature measurement accuracy, possibility to predict patient's temperature.
