FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and system for determining anomaly sources in a cyber-physical system (CPS). According to the method, the values of the CPS indicators are obtained using a forecasting tool for an input window constituting a time interval and contained within the observation period, wherein the input window is determined by the trained forecasting model, wherein the CPS indicators are numerical characteristics of control subjects; by the forecasting tool, using the trained forecasting model and according to the data on the obtained values of the SPC indicators for the input window, the values of the SPC indicators are forecasted for the forecast window constituting a time interval and contained within the observation period; using an anomaly determination tool for the forecast window the total forecast error is determined for the CPS indicators; using the anomaly determination tool, if the total forecast error exceeds the total error threshold, an anomaly in the CPS is determined; using the anomaly determination tool, at least one CPS indicator constituting the source of the anomaly is determined, if the contribution of the forecast error of said at least one CPS indicator to the total forecast error is higher than the contribution of at least one other CPS indicator to the total forecast error.

EFFECT: technical result is determination of anomaly sources in a cyber-physical system.
