FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: first sensor of thermometer delivers signal of quantity of infrared radiation from surface of patient's tissue. Second sensor determines first sensor temperature. Processor connected to sensors processes output signals, determines temperature of body and transmits it to indicating facility. Processor contains many remembered coefficients corresponding to great number of temperatures of separate points. Processor provides for use of calibration distribution of multiple remembered coefficients for corresponding output signals during determination of temperature of body. Unit of probe head is directed alternately to great number of points, each point being maintained at corresponding standard temperature. Calibration distribution of great number of coefficients for every point is remembered. Then probe head unit is directed into external auditory channel, and temperature of body is determined. Temperature of body is also determined by selection of output signal of infrared radiation sensor on basis of maximum value of first and second sets of values.
