FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: at least 3 samples of crystal phosphors are prepared, the first of which is activated with uranium in an amount which ensures luminescence intensity of not less than 30 times higher than the luminescence intensity of the second sample from non-activated crystal phosphor, and the analysed sample. Luminescence is excited in each sample with UV radiation and the luminescence intensity value of each sample is successively measured at the wavelength of the luminescence maximum of uranium and at any wavelength in the luminescence band of uranium which is different from the wavelength of the luminescence maximum of uranium.
EFFECT: more accurate determination of small concentrations of uranium in objects with complex composition of the surrounding medium and industrial solutions.
