FIELD: optical devices for multiplex wavelength transmission at low power and high density. SUBSTANCE: optical demultiplexer has plurality of optical wavelength filters each incorporating first input port for receiving input optical signal, first output port for outputting only optical signal with preset wavelength component in input optical signal, and second output port for outputting optical signal with other wavelength components except for preset wavelength component. Second output ports of optical wavelength filter are series-connected within optical demultiplexer to first output ports of their adjacent optical wavelength filters. Each wavelength optical filter receives optical signal incorporating plurality of wavelength components, separates optical signal having wavelength component from input optical signal, and outputs optical signal with preset wavelength component through its first output port as well as optical signal having different wavelength components in input port of respective adjacent wavelength filter which is connected to its second output port through its respective second output port so as to separate optical signal incorporating different preset wavelength component.
