FIELD: detection of mercaptan odorized mixture of natural gas in real time.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in simultaneous and cyclic in time measurement of absorption of radiation by solution under test at four waves: λ1, λ2, λ3 and λ4. Wave λ1 lies within range of 7.6 to 7.8 mcm; wave λ2 lies within range of 9.0 to 9.2 mcm, wave λ3 lies within range of 10.3 to 10.5 mcm and wave λ4 lies within range of 15.6 to 15.8 mcm. Proposed method may be used for performing measurements directly in gas pipe lines immediately after odorization system for correction of consumption of odorant.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
