AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR EVALUATION OF TENDENCY TO FORM HIGH TEMPERATURE DEPOSITS IN SHIP DIESEL AND RESIDUAL FUEL Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01N33/22

Abstract RU 2413222 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: automated system consists of high temperature chamber 1, deposit forming chamber 2, air heating and supply unit 3, control unit for system operation 4, and metering device 6 of samples of analysed fuel. The metering device supplies fuel in drops from 0.01 cm3 volume with interval between drops not less, than 1 sec. High temperature chamber 1 corresponds to cylinder 7 out of stainless steel. Double-layer heat insulation 8, 9 covers external surface of cylinder 7. The cylinder is directly connected with a source of electric energy with power sufficient to raise temperature in the chamber to 700°C. Metal plate 18 inside chamber 2 of deposit formation is positioned on metal support 22 and is removed from the bottom of the chamber. Also, inputs of unit of control 4 over system operation are connected with temperature sensors 10, 17, 26, while corresponding outputs are connected to control input of metering device 6 of a sample, air heater 3 and heater 21 of chamber 2 of deposit formation.

EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of evaluation of tendency of ship diesel and residual fuel to formation of high temperature deposits.
