FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods for determining operability of elements of phased antenna arrays (PAA) on the basis of measurement of microwave signal. Method is based on application of procedures of switching and modulation methods of antenna measurements for microwave signal supplied to PAA input, which is reflected from emitters - free space transition and supplied to PAA output.

EFFECT: simplifying the diagnostic method of the state of elements of phased antenna arrays as per measurements of microwave signal owing to removing additional microwave paths and devices included in phased antenna arrays, removal of radome and availability of fixed probe in near-field zone.
