SUBSTANCE: filter or filtering element contains at least two different additives. Filter or filtering element is made of material flat in initial condition, in particular, from continuous corrugated filaments, paper, fibrous cloth, fabric, nonwoven materials and similar. Filtering body contains at least two zones arranged one behind the other in longitudinal direction of filtering body. Zone at the side of tobacco contains additive, and in zone at side of mouthpiece there are no additives. In method to make filters or filtering elements, filtering body is provided with at least two various additives. Additives are applied onto flat initial material either in the form of strips arranged substantially parallel to each other and in the form of layers above each other, or only in the form of layers above each other.
EFFECT: invention provides for improved filtration of combustion products.
