FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, phthisiology and can be used for X-ray diagnostics of sternal and costal tuberculosis in children. The method involves standard chest computed tomography. If observing destruction of a sternum, ribs and/or pathological parasternal and/or paracostal growth, executing spot computered tomography of section thickness 2 mm and determining densitometric tissue density are required. A water-soluble contrast medium is introduced stream intravenously, and an interst area is scanned once more with determining varied densitometric tissue density. Collected contrast medium gain makes 20-30 units HU for granulation, 45-70 units HU for abscess walls, 0 units HU for necroses and fluid pus.
EFFECT: method provides early visualisation of destruction lesions, pathological parasternal, paracostal growths with delimitation and pathological content analysis.
