FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Proposed method comprises producing hot-rolled billets with thickness of (120…180)h1 in combining continuous casting and rolling, billet cold rerolling into intermediate strip plate, foil rolling to final thickness in three stage. In first stage, foil is rolled to thickness (3…5)h1, to (1.5…3)h1 in second stage and to (0.7…1.5)h1 in third stage, where h1 is final thickness of foil. Mill rolls of proposed complex are grooved, bottom roll being grooved along complex curve that includes flat parabola at roll center and steep parabola on its edges. Note here that shaped part of grooved roll has flanges on both sides that allows cutting edges at rerolling section to intermediate strip plate to edge width Δb=R/30, where Δb is the edge width on each side, mm; R is the roll radius, mm.
EFFECT: high precision of rolling reduced losses in edge cutting.
