SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry. The hydrogen generator has a reaction vessel, a main pipeline for delivering hydrogen with two electrically controlled valves 32, 33 and a hydrogen cleaning apparatus 9, a liquid container 10 for removing the oxide film of the reagent with a concentration measuring apparatus 23 and a level gauge 22 and two electrically controlled valves 30, 31, a drainage tank 11 and two electrically controlled valves 34, 35, a programmed control unit 29, a processing and analysis unit 40 and a measurement unit 42. The housing of the generator has a rectangular shape with two removable covers 4 and three compartments 1, 2, 3. The outermost compartments 1, 2 of the housing are identical and their adjacent parallel walls form the third compartment 3. The housing has a water jacket 7 which is joined to the third compartment and has inlet and outlet pipes. Horizontal partitions 6 are rigidly joined to the removable covers in the outermost compartments of the housing through a supporting arm 5. A reagent in form of a plate 8 is attached to the partitions 6, on which perforations are made around the reagent. The hydrogen generator also includes a filter 12, a liquid flow metre 13, a hydrogen flow metre 14, two pressure sensors 15, 16, two concentration measuring apparatus 24, 25, five temperature sensors 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, two check valves 26, 27, two electrically controlled valves 28, 29 and a comparator 41.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of the generator and simplifies its design.
