FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for measuring the volume and volumetric flow rate of liquids and can be used for testing or calibrating equipment for measuring volume, flow rate or liquid level, or for measuring volumes in doses. The device comprises two interconnected containers with liquid, each of the containers comprises an outlet and an inlet for releasing liquid from them and inlet into them, respectively, the outlets and inlets of the containers are equipped with valves, the outlets of the containers are connected by a line, which is equipped with a pump, to the input of the flow meter being inspected, the output of the flow meter being inspected is connected by a line to the inputs of the tanks, whereas the valves are configured to open the outlet from the tank supplying liquid to the flow meter being inspected and entering the tank for draining liquid from the flow meter being inspected and at the same time blocking the outlet of the liquid drain tank and the input of the liquid supply tank and subsequent opening for pumping liquid in the opposite direction of closed valves and closing open valves, thus forming two alternately operating hydraulic paths for liquid; inside at least one container there is mounted a float made of a material with positive buoyancy, connected to the encoder shaft for proportional conversion changes in the volume of liquid in a container as it circulates from one container through a flow meter being verified to another into a signal; the encoder is connected to the control unit.
EFFECT: possibility of creating a simple and reliable device for checking liquid flow meters without the use of reference flow meters.
