FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of generating a control signal is based on measuring and picking up an input signal U(tk), forming a given pause (τp)i(i=1, 2…) and a given duration (τd)i of the relay control signal in accordance with the value of the measured input signal (Utk), forming a given pause (τp)i in the dead zone, and given duration (τd)i in the continuous control zone, where the value (τd)i is greater than a certain given value τm, restricting the real time signal forming the duration (τd)i and the pause (τp)i on the level of τm. The relay regulator has an analogue-to-digital converter (ADC), memory, a digital comparator, a pulse generator, a pulse counter, a flip flop, a multiplexer and an AND element. Owing to use of the AND element, which enables restriction of pulse counting at the given level, given durations and pauses of the control signal are formed. The relay regulator can be used in various control systems, particularly in spacecraft control systems.
EFFECT: broader functionalities owing to provision for a given law of generating a control signal in the dead zone and in the continuous control zone.
