SUBSTANCE: image processing apparatus includes a unit for receiving a colour image, a unit for dividing the colour image into elements of corresponding colours, a unit for deciding on protective points through use of separated data and a unit which, when a decision has been made that there are protective points, repeatedly calculates the mixing ratio by using the result of making the decision on protective points in order to convert the colour image to a monochromatic image.
EFFECT: possibility of detecting reproduction of protective points with their conversion to visible points and simultaneous improvement of colour reproduction.
