SUBSTANCE: area of inversion is extracted from image data, and out of pixels included into this area of inversion multiple small sections are extracted, besides pixels are arranged symmetrically relative to central pixel of inversion area in horizontal and vertical directions, and also pointedly-symmetrically relative to central pixel, and at the same time pixels are overlapped between each of small sections. It is identified whether data included into inversion area matches specified template. Characteristic of inversion area image data is identified on the basis of a certain number of characteristics of multiple small sections. On the basis of this identification results a judgement is made on whether it is required to perform smoothening on central pixel of inversion area. Then smoothening is carried out in central pixel, on which above-mentioned judgement was made.

EFFECT: detection of necessity to perform smoothening in compliance with condition of target pixel and its peripheral area, and in case of smoothening necessity, without includes of device circuit.
