FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: superconducting wire includes at least the first and the second superconducting layers arranged on the base in the form of multiple-layer structure. The first superconducting layer includes the first high-temperature superconducting oxide chosen so that the first specified ratio of critical currents can be provided in magnetic fields parallel to surface of superconducting layer and perpendicular to surface of superconducting layer. The second superconducting layer includes the second high-temperature superconducting oxide chosen so that the second specified ratio of critical currents can be provided in magnetic fields parallel and perpendicular to surface of superconducting layer. The first and the second superconducting layer in combination provides the specified common value of critical current at the specified orientation of magnetic field. At that, the first superconducting layer is chosen to provide increased value of critical current to magnetic field perpendicular to the surface of superconducting layer in comparison to the second superconducting layer. And the second superconducting layer is chosen to provide increased value of critical current in magnetic field perpendicular to the surface of superconducting layer in comparison to the first superconducting layer.
EFFECT: providing optimum operating properties to superconducting wire in magnetic fields.
